Agatha Christie, And Then There Were None, Great Britain, 1993

Why it is your favorite book ?
This is, I believe the very best among all of Agatha Christie’s books and one of my all time favorites. The story holds itself up, without needing either Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple or any other famed detective, unlike most of Christie’s other stories. The plot is intriguing to say the least with ten people landing up on a remote island, cut off from the mainland, and in a matter of days, each person is murdered, with no suspects left at the end. The final chapter which sheds light on how the murders actually took place, as a confession document written by the murderer, is brilliant to say the least. I keep re-reading this book every couple of years.
